Went to the doctor today. Good news and bad news. Back is looking great, I've met two new patients and had my picture taken for the newspaper article.
My foot and leg are no better so it's back to testing, CT scan, MRI and another blasted myelogram which I dread worse than surgery. If they can determine what is going on, hopefully it can corrected by surgery. Hopefully. Otherwise I'll be wearing flip flops all year long. Not a happy thought. My prayer is that this will be easily diagnosed and easily repaired. Really need everyone's positive thoughts and prayers. Pretty down today. I've tried for nine months to be positive but it has finally worn me down. Thanks everyone.

Tomorrow Mike and I will celebrate our first date 41 years ago! He didn't remember the right date when I asked him as men are sometimes want to do. I'll let it slide this time. Falling Into Fall

Even though the temps are still hot here in north Texas, the air has changed. At least it seems that way to me. Grasping at straws.....quite possibly. LOL  But regardless, it lifts my spirit and I'll take that any day. Fall is my favorite time of year. Opening windows after living in air conditioning for months on end and before buttoning up for the colder air of winter and the heater. The leaves on our ornamental pears begin to turn a beautiful shade of maroon, the neighbors' trees are a riot of gold and orange and the leaves begin to fall. Yard work slows down. I swear every year I'm going to have a wonderful fall veggie garden and every year it doesn't happen. I have always believed we will have better luck in the fall rather than our non existent spring that quickly melts into a hot and dry summer. One of these years I will have to follow through. Life's a Hoot!

What has the Brod Abode been up too? Hmmmm so many things have gone on the last month or so. This Brod has become a Food Network addict. Again. And that is awesome because now all I want to do this "going to be Texas hot" summer is try new recipes! IF ONLY I didn't have to go to the grocery store. My dream kitchen would include a never ending pantry. Need it? It's there. Ah, I can dream. The bored om factor has been so great I've succumbed to the temptation of General Hospital again. First time in maybe, 20 years? Getting old is extremely interesting and so is double cataract surgery. And the rules that accompany said surgery.
